Our shrouds are thoughtfully crafted to embody the rich spiritual heritage of the Orthodox faith, ensuring dignity and respect for your loved ones. Thank you for allowing us to to join you on such a meaningful time.

An Ancient Custom kept Alive
Since the early days of Jewish Burial customs, and continuing into Orthodoxy, Burial Shrouds have been part of the honoring and care of our departed for ages. Representing the covering of the Grace of God, the prayers of the Church, and the promise of purity and holiness given at Baptism.
Cloth Chaplet Included
A cloth Chaplet, or Crown is place over the forehead of the departed, symbolizing the Crown of Life as described in Revelation 2:10. Inscribed with the Trisagion prayer, it also includes the Deesis Icons of Christ, Theotokos and St. John.
Shrouds measure 28”x72” approximately. Chaplet or headband measures 1.75”x12” approximately. Made of 100% Natural Woven Cotton, traditional un-hemmed edges.

Traditional Iconography
The Shrouds include Iconographic images of The Resurrection, The Crucifixion and Myrrh Bearers at the empty tomb. Also directions of Grapes(top) & Wheat (bottom), symbolizing our communion with the Lord, our being grafted into the vine, and our separation as wheat from the tares.
Translation in English
Several verses from the service for the departed encircle the shroud. Inscribed in red and translated into English in a beautiful handwritten font that was inspired by the traditional styles used in Iconography for ages.
Prayers include.
The Trisagion- Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, Have Mercy on us
-That the Lord God will establish thy soul where the just repose.
-Give rest, O Lord, to the soul of thy servant who is fallen asleep.
-for Thou art the resurrection, and the life and the repose of this Thy servant.
